Issue: #2 This is part of a series of semi-regular newsletters sent out to users of the Monochrome BBS to let you know what's going on in and around Mono. This is necessarily brief: for more information on the topics covered, check the references given (keypaths and web pages). If you wish to receive future editions of this Newsletter, send an email to "majordomo@mono.org" with the following content:

The client allows you to connect to Monochrome within your web browser. It supports full colour terminal emulation. Note that you must have Java support enabled in your browser in order for it to work. The client is available from http://www.mono.org/connect/jconnect.shtml. TalkerA little-used feature of Monochrome is its talker. Sometimes when you're talking to a number of people about the same thing it's easier to chat to everyone at once in real-time than use the messaging system. To access the Talker, you can simply type [ESC][T] at any point. Once in the Talker, .help will give you some basic help. The Talker help file is available at <IHUK> and http://www.mono.org/help/users/talker.html. During the night (UK time), try visiting 'mimic' on the Talker and speaking to her... User SurveyIf you've logged into Monochrome in the last month or two, you will have received a message giving you a personalised URL to a questionnaire. Thanks for all your responses, although a few people experienced some teething problems with the software. We're currently sifting through the responses; we'll make appropriate announcements when we publish results of the analysis. MeetsThe following Meets are planned.
