Monochrome Complaints
The Consequences...
Possible Consequences of a Complaint For the complainant, it is unusual for there to be any consequences at all.
There have been a couple of unusual cases in the past where investigation
of a complaint has led to the complainant also being punished - however,
this is not a normal outcome. After all, if you're complaining about
somebody, you shouldn't be doing the exact same thing as them yourself...
;-)
Complaints can of course be rejected, in which case there are no
consequences.
If a complaint is upheld, one or any combination of the following potential
punishments could be issued against the subject of a complaint:
o Edit Ban - typically used when the right to edit has been abused. o Talker Ban - typically used when the user has maliciously misused
the talker.
o Send Message Ban - typically used when the user has used U2Us to break
the Conditons of Use.
o Other Bans - Unusual, but used as required. o System Ban - (Total Lockout!) - typically used either to ban a user
from the entirety of the system for a period of time, possibly for good.
o Account Deletion - A last resort. |
